As suggested above, this is our second production. Our last one, Dance Dance Revolution: The Warrior's Path was bigger than we could ever imagine. But now it's time to move on to bigger, much more awesome things. Making a movie on a 300 dollar budget sucks. A lot.


As you may or may not have gotten from the last film, I like to do movies about extraordinary events in seemingly average life. This is no different.


What if we could change the flavor of our blood? We can only watch and find out in this tasty blend of horror and comedy. Oh, and our vampires don't sparkle. **** that Twilight ****.

What We Need

We're only doing a short, so millions of dollars aren't going to be necessary (though if you have a million bucks, hook us up.) However, it's still not cheap.

• First thing is first... I need to feed these actors. Because unfed actors will begin to think about nothing but murder.
• Secondly, I'm going to need makeup... and blood, lots of it.
• Thirdly (Yes, "Thirdly") We'll be having some pretty dynamic locations people have been nice enough to let us use... but not for free unfortunately. So we have to pay them as well. We also need insurance in case worse comes to worse.
• Fourthly, a few expensive props we're going to need (well, expensive to me anyhow). I just go ahead and call gas a prop as well because we're in Chicago... where gas prices kick your ass.
• Plead the fifth(ly), I have a wonderful cast and crew here, some of the most professional and wonderful individuals I've met in years. They're willing to work for free (a lot) but I'd like to be able to pay them some sort of a wage... even if we are just meeting for a couple of days.
• Lastly (finally): We need to rent some sound equipment and some lighting (portable sun) and maybe another camera.

Then there's those festival fees because festivals love robbing people, but that's just the cost of getting it shown.

Wow, I think I just about broke everything down there.

But I think it'll be a blast chronicling my progress on here, didn't quite do that last time since no one was really paying attention anyway. Looks like this will be my first "real" project (But then again, what's a "real" project anyway?)

It's been a slow 2 weeks, me trying to get a complete hang of the crowd-sourcing thing. But I think I'm on the right track. If anything, it'll be a marvelous learning experience.

I still feel like I'm doing a lot wrong though... any advice or anything?
