FYI: for those that are using Aperture to manage still images, tethering to the D5100 works great. You can't see the LiveView screen, but you can instantly capture and view photographs on your computer monitor (laptop).
My next experiment will be to obtain an EyeFi card that supposedly supports direct wireless stills and video transfer.
