*A GAME* Name that movie (based on a still)

Damn kimko...I must be more tired than I thought.

Maybe you're right.

I've stared at the pic...

Could be the elusive smile she's flashing (quite rare for her) that's throwing you off.

Callaghan and Kimko are both right:

#1 is indeed Network (what a kick ass movie that was!)

#3 is not Crawford.

I'll give you a hint on #3 - it's definitely the least well known of all three stills.... it was not a big movie, but has become popular over the years due to the director who made it. While it wasn't this director's first film, it was his first 'real' film.

gee whiz wally i thought that was(#1) west side story hahahehe,i've seen that face she does have the same eyebows as crawford but her nose is more prominent.darn i can't figure that one out

I can't figure out #2 and I know I've seen it. It's making me mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!

Forgive me if I'm way off base 'cause I've only seen it once, but is #2 Big Fish?

#2 is definitely not Big Fish.

Hint for #2:
The first film by a contemporary director who has gone on to have some big critical acclaim with his last two films.

Additional Hint for #3:
The man in the shot is also in another still posted earlier in this same thread (for another movie by the same director).

#2 isnt shamalan's first film, is it?

No.
Maybe I should get another still from this as a hint.
Damn, I really didn't think these were that tough.

Another hint for #2: the director is a writer/director. Both of his last 2 films were nominated for oscars in some way.

Good guess FilmJunkie
:)

I guess I thought more people had seen it.
I don't watn to turn this into a political discussion, but I think it's a great film considering how tough the subject matter probably is to deal with.
Can you imagine writing a comedy about the abortion debate?

Personally, I think it's a great movie.
Same wit you see in all his other films.

Im gonna say it's Kubrick's "the killing"

And I'm gonna say you're right!

Damn, guess I don't have my finger on the pulse of the DVXusers.
I thought these would jump out at people.

If you haven't seen the Killing, you absolutely should. VERY COOL heist movie.

Hey Luis, you're from Austin, have you checked out Tarantino's film festival??? I heard its a killer time!

No I've never been.
We've also got Harry Knowles' festival here, which is always cool for those who can get in.

But no, I tend to be a homebody.
I guess I'm just happy with the DVX, cutting my own stuff.
:)
