A Film About A Woman (M2 + DVX)

Wow I loved the bathroom shots and the shots right after she jumps. Looked really nice, what lenses did you use for those? As for the movie I was a bit confused with the whole father part in the begining, but it was interesting thumbs up my friend:thumbsup:

I think pretentious is a very misused word. Quite a few lovely shots. I liked the look much better once color was introduced.

Where I think it was good on one hand, on the other hand I felt it could have been 3 minutes shorter.

It's a shame you have such an ironic disregard for your subject -- some of this is real rich.

How did you score this? it almost sounds like audio clips from real movies...

I really enjoyed the whole "feel" to it, but like stated above, it was a bit long. The conversation with the priest doesn't need to be that long, and it's a bit annoying that we see them talking, but can't hear.

Anyway, enjoyed it.

i like what you did alot we really into the black and white and the way you went between the two good job. yeah that score was dope look forward to hear how you made that all come together good job though man

Thanks for all the kind words guys ! ;D
The score was written in Nuendo using the East West Symphonic Orchestra library, it's really a quite amazing package. It's like having an orchestra of your own, only there are no hung over brass players \o/. I agree somewhat with what you are saying about the length, some of the priest stuff could be chopped. Will probably do that (sometime).

As for lenses, most of the video was shot on a 100 mm (to give the shots a more claustrophobic feel, yada yada yada ;D). A 35 mm was used in some of the bed scenes.

Cheers!

Klosse,

that was amazing. you've got some talent for getting shots and creating a mood.

I liked it cause I didn't really know what was going on. I had an idea, but you left it was open to MY interpretation, so I thank you for that. Most beginning filmakers force bad dialouge to TELL you what's going on.

The bathroom shot was the best I've ever seen on Dvxuser. I had to STOP it and REWIND it. I couldn't believe that was a video camera. kudos.

it had some david lynch-ness to it which I dug.

you should be making features. or at least working as my DP. LOL.

-Questions: how far in were you zoomed on your 100mm lens? and was focusing a problem during the walking (moving) scenes?

very cool.

This was extremely well shot.... Kudos.

You got talent, keep at it.

I loved the greenish tint on the scenes by the waterfront. Good Stuff.

As far as the story goes.... eh, wasn't my cup of tea, but it was definitely intriging.

I agree with the Lynch-esque feel to it. Overall, very, very well done.
