alright, i recently started shooting in 24p with my dvx100... I'm currently making a video, featuring mostly 60i footage, with a smaller portion of 24p.... I use imovie to capture... should I just capture the 24p footy the same way i capture regular 60i footy, and mix it in with the 60i on the normal 29.97 timeline?? ive been capturing and mixing like that, but my 24p footage doesnt appear to have that slow, film-like 24p motion i always see. Ive been shooting at a shutter of 1/48th too...

also... question about 24p advanced... this is just for when you want to shoot a film with ALL 24pa footage right?, because you capture it with the settings in fcp that removes the pulldown, correct?.. please help me out.

Correct. 24P normal edits on a 29.97 timeline. 24PA edits with the pulldown removal.

I'd have to see the footage to understand... but a lot more goes into making footage look "film-like" than just shooting in 24P. It is an awesome feature at the right hands, but it's not going to magically make your footage look like film.
