A few questions to ask

I am from australia and love filmmaking, well, when I get the chance to. Anyways can someone tell me what the hell "CC" means, I notice it alot in these forums, people use it in such a way: " It would look better if you CC it."

Coz if doing that makes video look better, I wanna know how to do it.

hey a fellow aussie...

anyways CC means colour correction and basically is just a technique used to fix up the colours in your image or to give your image a certain look (such as in the matrix).

CC can be achieved in most editing and effects packages to some degree but one that is fairly popular is the maigc bullet plugin for adobe after effects...

also this may get moved as i don't think its in the right place...but anyway...

hope that helps a bit

Hey, on the other post you made about it, you mentioned Premiere, so you should post in the Premiere forum, where you'll get best replies:

Color Correction can make your footage look better, but it's just one of the many things. You can't expect to have your footage look from horrible to look like film from just some CC. This is an example of CC from a short I just finished:

As you can see, it can help your footage look better. However, if I hadn't had the "blood" there in the original footage, I could've never made it look like in the final grab. So CC is definitley not everything.

Hey mate. CC colour correction. Many pros prefer to use the industry terminology i.e. colour timming.

love the vernacular =)

It's all been said... here's a sample:

WITH CC:

Hope this helps! I'm not entirely set on my CCing but I wanted a more filmic look. It's a work in progress and definitely a skill that has to be learned and crafted.
