Is this the type of extender/adapter your having problems with?

Any chance to try the Nikon on a stills cam to make sure it's functioning properly? Or try a different Nikon lens with the adapter?

Nope definitely not that adapter! Does anyone know anything about it, or has anyone used it? I've tried to research it online but didn't find anything other than links to purchase it...

Is it possible the Nikon adapter is stopping the lens down? I don't know how Nikon lenses work when set to auto iris.

Since it is not the one from ebay that was posted I would be curious to know what adapter you have on the camera. If your adapter doesn't have any optical elements then it would only work for extreme macro shooting. Coupled with the not using full manual Nikon glass on a dumb adapter could be resulting in a very under-exposed out of focus image?
