We wanted the interviews with the grandmothers to be very intimite with overexposed areas. This would set apart the interviews that serve primarily as exposition.

Simply beautiful work. I cannot wait to see some clips.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

The third grab with the old dear talking with tears down her face has put a lump in my throat. What's the doc about? Certainly powerful stuff!

Well done!

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Beautiful grabs indeed. The first grab is great; the overexposure worked well. I hope you either have more grabs, or some footage coming. Can't wait to see it.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Outstanding shots! Nice work DSK. Can't wait for clips.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

this documentary is about the Korean women of WWII who were kidnapped by the Japanese Imperial Army...they were forced into sexual slavery. It is a very sad story...that most American's do not know. We hope to change that with this doc. Glad you like the grabs.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Stunning. The first ones you upload were great. But these, ...these are absolutely incredible! How long have you been in South Korea? Can you come to Thailand next and help me out? I don't have a clue of what I'm doing!!!

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Sounds like a really interesting doc - the plight of forgotten victims

The best of luck DVX_South_Korea. ;)

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Wow, these really are amazing... Keep posting stills as they come.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Fantastic stuff there. The shots look professional and beautifully composed. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the completed doc.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Amazing imagery. The shot of the woman in tears is a LIFE photo. Great execution in differiing the 'blow outs' from the 'expo'. I want to see this when its done; please keep us in the loop. I read alot about WW2 and the attrocities by the armies (countries) invloved are sobering.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

They are magnificent, indeed. But tell me something, you used foamcore right? Otherwise, you just selected the best spots to do interviews I've ever seen...

But really man, it's coming beautiful.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

..these are terrific! great job. I d like to see the finished doc :)

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "using foamcore?" We didn't do anything except move a couch farther away from the wall. Atleast that all I can remember...oh and in front of the window.

Bests

I have a picture, but you'll have to wait until my next big render.

I didn't know what it was for awhile either.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Those are awesome! ;D I especially like the first one. I have a question...In the first one, it looks as if maybe it is not totally centered or something, like the road is kinda traveling at an angle from left to right (right being the lower). Is this on purpose? You mentioned the overexposure issue...Is that overexposure in the first grab on the right hand side? If it is, was it on purpose? Thanks and great work..Tim.

The only thing I can say about foamcore - it tastes great! :P

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

Those are well composed and beautiful images. Nice work! :)

Your documenary should be interesting. I've heard more and more about this story.

Re: A few more grabs from my doc in South Korea

DVX_South_Korea, I forgot to ask, is this doc business or pleasure? Or a bit fo both?
