A few interesting things...

Ok... it seems like every week they are shooting something within' a mile radius of my house... today it's a Pepsi commercial... a few weeks ago it was CSI... about a month or so ago it was FEAST... a few months back it was Flags of our Fathers... I am so used to all these sets, and trucks, it's just straight annoying now... when I get stopped by some CHP dude on the road, and makes me wait till' they cut... LAME! Anyway... that's one thing...

another thing is this... I am on DVXuser pretty much every night till 12:30 or 1.... now I swear that a little after midnight the site becomes light blue... am I crazy, or does it really happen? I've got to know!

1) Next time you see a shoot going on, wear some funky a la director's style cloth, get the DVX on one hand and walk out to the sets and try to get noticed. A job might come up like this.

2) It's your monitor after being on the DVXUser many hours.

I was thinking about acting like a BTS guy... I am just so anti-Walking onto set... maybe cause they're everywhere. I don't know.

Brandon,

If it's causing you a problem, have you considered moving off the Paramount lot and getting a real home?

Hey Brandon I was up there shooting a segment for www.2nd-unit.tv a couple of weeks ago. We were on the set of "the Unit" at the Santa Clarita Studios. I Might be shooting a second segment there in the future. You want to come and shoot some B.T.S.? No pay but a lot of hands on and I'm not talking about coffee. Well maybe a little coffee.:) If your interested P.M. me.

Take a screen capture now and another when you "see colors" and compare them (possibly the next day...).

Now they're filming "Monk" tonight... about 200 yards from my house! They film so much stuff here... it's insane!

Where the heck are you living?? across the street from a studio???

I would just walk up and be like I'm hear the wax the girls.. Who know it might work. Or if you really want to get on set. Dress in black put on a dvxuser shirt and a roll of gaf tape and just walk like you know whay your doing. I bet you could go right up to the director watch him do a couple of scenes and someone will prob even ask you to do something.

Then when there like we need to move that light. Be like I'm not a gaffer but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night. And move the light. Watch the producer and inshurence guy freak out.

haha! I live on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country... lots and lots of shows film out here... there's this famous cafe like 100 yards from my house (that's where they're filming now) They filmed the 100th episode of CSI here at my house... I was chillin' with the director the whole time... and chatting with his 2nd AD. I filmed some stuff w/my DVX... I should try and dig it up sometime... Yeah, people don't care if you're on set if you act chill and it's old hat to you... (which it is by now for me, lol...)
