A Few DVX Grabs

[fixitinpost]

So the first thing everyone does when they get their DVX is go out and shoot everything in sight. Like others, I followed this ritual, and thought I would share some of the better grabs. Let me know what you think. Comments and criticism are more than welcome.

No color correction has been applied, but compressing to JPG screwed with the colors a little bit.

i like the 6th one

I like the color in the first one and I think the 7th should have jets flying overhead.

You know what I like about your first grabs?

The comps are interesting and the exposure is on. The 4th and 6th are working for me

[PDX_DVX]

Thats because he got to use my DVX before he bought his LOL. Good grabs man!

[fixitinpost]

Thanks for the positive comments.

Anything not working for you? There's always room for improvement.

Edalgo: I may just have to bust out Photoshop on the seventh one...

Heh. Yeah. Lots of fun with your DVX. ("Well, I guess I shall be forced to soil my pants." Oh that was a fun day.)

[PDX_DVX]

HAHAHA Yea man, as I remember we pretty much didn't know anything about the camera at that point......and I didn't even have my case yet

Got lost trying to find the camera store so we could get the UV filter....

Ok, I couldn't resist:

wow, the first, third and the flag grabs are really eye popping.

[John C Lyons]

that cap could have come from any bruckheimer/bay film!

[PDX_DVX]

Dang, good job on the photoshop comp. Looks real! When in doubt, just do it in AE/ photoshop.....

And behold, I have exceeded my bandwith. I really need to upgrade to paid hosting. I'm putting the images on another server right now, and hopefully it'll stay up this time.

EDIT: Images back up. We'll see how long this lasts.
