I Thoroughly Enjoyed Your Audio Slide Show (lessons). Very Nice Photos And Nice Use Of Occasional Motion. Thank You

thanks cal, audio slide shows are a lot of fun. I have done a few. maybe i should change my career and start doing them for newspapers since they same to be the new fade in the paper industry.

really enjoyed the bike messenger video. very well done and very interesting. learned quite a bit from it. great work.

the air guitar video looked great, but he subject matter didn't keep my attention.

beautiful images on the slideshow

thanks videothnographer - I looked at your profile, what are you working on in New Orleans? i was down there this past summer shooting a doc for a non-profit called Rethink New Orleans (dealing with the public schools).

very interesting videothnographer - a number of the young students i met while there were still in trailers or living with family.

Hey, Andrew: Thanks for sharing. That's great stuff. Makes me wanna get out and shoot, tell more great stories. I especially liked the air guitar piece.

Had to ask -> when you label a segment as 'commissioned by' Current, are they greenlighting a story idea before you shoot or helping out after it's selected as viewer-created-content? Just curious. I've watched their growth over the years and have always been curious as to how they operate. They're buried on our Comcast lineup here in Denver.

Thanks and keep up the great work.......

Fevercity - yes, i started producing work for current in 2005 right after their start so i have always deal with one of their producers. Little know sercet, a lot of their "VC2" stuff is actually comissioned and greenlighted ahead of time. I have nevered had to go through the upload process (except for the VCAMs, the viewer ads, that i have done). The Air guitar thing was the last i have shot for them, and that was last summer.

ps - i'll be out in Denver later this summer for the DNC, i look forward to checking out the city while i'm there.

Very cool. Thanks for the info. Again - just curious. I've seen some interesting stuff on Current. I'll be interested to see how long they can last.

The DNC will be an exciting time here. And a great time to see Denver in general. The price-gouging on apartments and places-to-stay has already begun. Feel free to PM me if you need another shooter or any additional support grip / electrical / sound gear. I'm about 5 minutes from the convention center with an Avid / Final Cut set-up.

As you're probably aware, 'political' shooting can be tricky. I know some people here getting in the loop that don't fully appreciate the choppy waters.

Best wishes......

haha yes i am well aware of the media circus, I've actually been covering the primaries from the start (on location coverage in Iowa, NH, SC, NYC and recently returned from texas) what an interesting time.

Not to post even more work, but you can check out some of the political stuff i have been shooting here:

(just the actual politic stuff, not the SxSW stuff)

I heard that all the hotels were booked in Denver as early as last novermber. Lucky for us one of our producers grew up in Denver and still has a lot of friends that live there.
