How do I back up an entire tape onto another tape?

I have the DVX and another camera here but can't figure out how to do it..... eek, help! lol

Connect the cameras with a firewire cable. Put them both into VCR mode. Hit play on one cam and then a moment later record on the other when it gets the picture.

Wait 60 mintues, eject, repeat.

thanks... also figured out that u have to hold down the vcr button and the rec button at the same time

Right, plus if you want to clone timecode you have to go into the menus and enable "DV TC REGEN" on the recording camera.

oh awesome, so my dubbed tape doesn't have time code...... DOH! gotta do it again, lol.

It probably has it's own timecode, not the timecode from the original.

Yes, or you could use the other camera to play the tape and the DVX to record the new tape so you can follow Barry's advice of how to REGEN the timecode.
