I have bought Transcend 16GB, class 6, absolutely flawless so far after 6 month use. My understanding is the quality is related to the memory chip, which is usually made companies such as Toshiba, Samsung, Micron, Hyundai or Infineon, so the brand name of SDHC doesn't matter? Since it has no mechanical component, so the quality from various manufacturers should be minimum, unlike hard disk.

Anyone who bought inexpensive SDHC, could you please post your experiences? especially bad one. I am aware of earlier posts regarding similar issues, but few discussed the quality of A-DATA?

I bought an A-data 16gb class 6 card which works fine on my SD9 but on my HMC150 it fails with the 'incompatible card' error at about the 20 minutes 4gb mark. At least one other person has had the same issue with an A-data.

I have since bought 3 16gn Trascends class 6 and recorded until the card was full on all 3 with no probs whatsoever.

There is no way on hell I'd ever buy am A-data 32gb card or any other capacity.

Now I understand why:

Even class 6, there are various types of transfering speed,

If I tape for very serious things, I will probably buy/use Panasonic, other than that, Transcend is probably OK, I will try my Trascend 16GB (Class 6) and Lexar 8GB (Class 4) tonight and will report my exp here!

I have used a Transcend 32GB class 6 card many times now, filming events that range from an hour to over 2 hours in length, and have never had a problem.

I have just formatted 16GB Transcend (class 6) and taped 40 min continuously, no problem at all. Looks like Transcend Class 6 is a good product! I am testing my Class 4 Lexar 8GB SDHC.

I shot with 8 gig class 6 Adata cards and the camera stopped recording a couple of times so I quit buying them. In the last couple of months I have shot around 60 Kingston 8 gig class 6 cards with no issues.
