I just finished my upgrade and did a couple of quick tests shots...and it's after 3am and I feel brain-dead, so I hope these look ok. I'll do some test footage soon. Anyways here are a couple of Redrock M2E screenshots I did with my HVX200a. My 35mm lens was set at f/6 and my HVX at f/2.8.

Looks nice, did you get the MicroX upgrade as well? or just the M2e? If been trying to decide if it's worth the extra money to me right now to get the MicroX upgrade as well, or just stick with my old MicroX and get the M2e upgrade.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm really impressed with the M2E upgrade, worth every dime. It is increadible to be able to match up your monitor to what you see with your own eyes, the loss of light is just so minimal now. I'll try to get some test footage for you guys soon.

Cheers

I actually just stuck with my original microX, and the results look great. The microX Encore does offer some new benefits, but the upgrade isn't necessary for the M2E to function properly. I think the main benefit of the upgrade is that now Sony EX users can use it.

Do you see any vignetting when using the 24mm lens? I upgraded to the M2 Encore and microX Encore at the same time, and my vignetting on wide lenses is gone. I was thinking it was due to the wider optics on the microX Encore, but maybe not...

I just put on my 24mm lens and I'm happy to say I didn't see any vignetting. That was also a problem for me with the regular M2 adapter, but it seems that the new optics from the M2E have fix that issue.
