Hey there!

I'm new to the forum and new to filmmaking. I use the term 'film' here very lightly. They're more like... failed partial birth abortions. Me and my buddy from High School got our hands on a great camera (a Sony XDCam) that our graphics teacher inexplicably thought would be a good idea to lend to us, and we made all kinds of crap. What I'm looking for is not critique of the actual videos themselves - since I know they're just awful - but rather a look at our technique. My friend, being the 'Director', the 'Writer', and the 'Actor', handles everything those roles entail - the ideas, where the video goes, what's the point of all this. I'm the technical side - the 'Camera Operator', 'Visual FX', 'Editing', etc.

Neither of us is particularly good yet, but I do think we both have the necessary skills and talents to start work in the areas we prefer. I have a few videos I'm linking below: if it's not too much trouble I'd really appreciate a few comments on where we need to improve, and if you know, how we can do so - what class or piece of equipment would facilitate the improvement.
