a couple of questions

hey everybody got a couple of questions..


1) is there any way to cut and paste the mfx files from the p2 card when copying them to the pc? I only have a copy option.. so everytime i transfer the videos i format the p2 card in the hvx to clean it. Is that the best way to do it?

2) can the hvx save more than 4 scene files on a miniSD card? it seems a shame if only 4 can be saved.. as i would image a 1gb minisd card could fit much more.

3) when not using the hvx for longer periods.. is it safe to leave the tape and the p2 card in the camera? Or is it best to remove both?

4) In edius video editor when dragging in an mfx file.. is it possible for edius to see the audio file automatically and attatch it to the relative mfx file? when i copy the mfx files onto a hdd i copy the whole "video" and "audio" folder.. should i put the audio files with the video files?

1) yes. It's safer this way, in case something shuts off mid-transfer. Use a program like P2CMS or P2 Viewer, don't use explorer, this way you can manage the files on virtual P2 cards.
2) I think so. But maybe you have a friend with 12 64MB cards who would like to trade you for that 1GB card?
3) I know it's safe to leave the P2 cards in there forever. I think you should be okay with tape, but maybe someone else knows different. Take the battery off if you're leaving it for an extended period.
4) If you use a Panasonic program to move your files, just import the whole virtual P2 card in using Capture>P2 Select and your files should play with audio just fine.
