A couple of questions about HVX200 and Final Cut Express

Hello all!

I have a question about my HVX200...there doesn't seem to be a 1080p function on it, it only has a 1080i setting. I know this may be a silly question, but isn't there supposed to be a 1080p/24/30 etc. setting?

My second question is about importing footage from said hvx to final cut express 4. FCE cant take .MXF filetypes. Can anyone suggest a converter for me?
