A 2 hour non-stop recording producing 5 files on a sdhc card instead of one! why?

The AVC Merge that you mentioned, worked very well indeed! Thank you very much for that Bassman2003! I now have my original recording stitched together seamlessly (and I wont have to now upgrade to an expensive NLE, namely the Adobe Premier Pro CS5.5)... I can stick to my "cheap" Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus and continue to get, what I consider to be excellent results...and use my money to buy a Canon EOS 550D instead. Cheers for that!
 
I have been using the MTSMerger tool for quite a while without any problems. I love it and thanks to the creator.

But today I could not get 7 clips to merge. The merging process would complete like normal and the Gb size was correct, BUT when placed on the time line, the video was only 26 minutes - it should have been much longer. I was successful in merging clips 1-4. 5-7 would not combine properly. I suspect something in clip 5 is throwing things off. All of the clips were about 26 minutes long, BUT clip 5 was about 6 minutes - don't know why it was so short. The camera was not paused at all. BTW...this was on Windows 7 and I also tried it on XP - no luck with either version.

Has anyone had this kind of problem with the MTSMerger tool?
