GH2 80% Variable Mode or HBR Mode for Slow Motion?

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find any discussion on it anywhere. I'm new to the GH2 and am still figuring out my way around it. If I wanted to shoot 30fps conformed to 24fps, would I be better off shooting in Variable mode at 80% or HBR mode and conforming it in post? Thanks!

If you want to record audio, you should definitely go with the latter approach.

Oh right! I forgot about the audio recording. Is the quality otherwise the same?
