I have a MINT MIR-1B 37mm f/2.8 lens for sale.

$80 shipped CONUS.

Zeiss Flektagon/Distagon clone in M42 mount. 10-blade aperture. No oil on blades (rare, most vintage Russian lenses have oil on blades), mint, looks new especially for a vintage lens, double Ap rings like the old Biotars (one click, one de-clicked, good for video). Nice lens. Perfect metal barrel cosmetics and clear glass; except for 2 little scratches near the mount (hardly noticeable, please see pics). But, the black paint looks almost brand new, nice and black and the white lettering is VERY white; pretty rare for a lens of this age; it must've been in storage in its' little case for a while. VERY smooth focus and Ap ring. Solid firm perfect Ap ring clicks. Basically a time-machine specimen in VG, NM condition. M42-to-EOS adapter shown in the pictures is NOT included. I'll also include some old 49mm color cast filters.

You can honestly get this lens cheap on ebay for $60-$100...but the wait time from the Eastern Block is 2 weeks to a month and you don't really know what you're getting..many of them have oil on blades, bad condition and have brassing. I am located in SoCal.

Price is $80 shipped CONUS. Fast USPS Priority 2-3 day (try that with an order from an Eastern Block EBayer, ha!)

Paypal preferred, as echeck/gift.

thanks.

ALSO.....

I have an EXC+++ Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 vintage Russian lens for sale.

$60 shipped CONUS.

A Zeiss Biotar clone in M42 mount. 8-blade aperture. This little lens is SHARP!!! A little oil on the blades (almost all vintage Russian lenses will have oil on blades; does NOT affect image whatsoever), very excellent condition especially for a vintage lens, double Ap rings just like the old Zeiss Biotars (one click ring, one de-clicked ring, the best for video). Nice lens. Perfect metal barrel cosmetics and clear glass. Black paint looks great, nice and black, and the white lettering is nice and white; pretty rare for a lens of this age; it must've been in storage in its' little case for a while. VERY smooth focus and Ap ring. Solid, firm, perfect Ap ring clicks. Basically a time-machine specimen in VG condition.

You can honestly get this lens cheap on ebay for $40-80...but the wait time from the Eastern Block is 2 weeks to a month and you don't really know what you're getting..many of them are bad condition, have brassing, or messed up Ap ring or focus ring. Not this one: great condition and also a fast 2-3 day Priority shipping. I am located in SoCal.

can you post a pic from the lens? The lens has yellowing on the glass and was wondering how much it affects the color tint.

No yellowing...it's pretty darn clear..must be my cheap iphone.

And...another lens for sale:

I would be interested as the Russian lenses are usually fantastic but please, can yo take 2 pics of the same subjects one with the 58mm and one with 35mm?

The older lenses are almost all very sharp. The difference between old and modern lenses is the coating (or rather often lack of it) that creates some issues with color rendition and excessive flaring. For instance 35mm Mir i tested was very warm in comparison with other lenses so if you were going to use it as part of the kit you would have to relay on color correction to fix the hue difference in the post. Likewise the 58mm Helios (or rather the version i tested) being very sharp at the same time didn't retain contrast too well. Neither of the "problems" would matter if using lenses for still photography but might have serious implications if you are trying to shoot a scene in video mode where you need to match the color and contrast between lens changes.
