FS7: 8 channels of audio in edit.

Has anyone noticed that in edit (at least in Premiere CC2014) that the FS7 files come in with what looks like 7.1 channel audio? Is this just me? Is there anyway to make this go away? Turn it back to stereo? It's cluttering up my timeline for no good reason.

I see that in Resolve when importing to make DnxHds. Thought it was a resolve error. Don't think I saw it going to Avid directly but will have to try that again.

Hi meauounji - could you solve this? I also only need 2 channels and wondering if there is a way to remove the other ones?

OK in Resolve you must manage your media import correctly.

Import work
Media tab - select all
Right Click - clip attributes
audio tab.. change to.. chanels 2, mono

now when you drop the footy onto a Resolve Edit timeline the audio is as required (stereo pair is available but I dont use that with shot and lav)

premier - sorry cant help

In Premiere, select all the clips. right click/modify/Audio Channels and make changes there. I haven't found a way to do it on import, but then again, I haven't looked...
