I bought this Canon CN-E 18-80mm T4.4 COMPACT-SERVO Cinema Zoom Lens (EF Mount) right after NAB, I was so excited about it.
And I was not disappointed, the lens is sharp, lightweight, and has the very pretty Canon tonality.
But I don't have a Canon camera, I am using on a Sony F55, with an adapter, and it works nicely, zoom, stabilization, all works great, but not the start/stop.
Now, last week, my Angenieux EZ zoom delivered, which is PL, and the servo on that will work fully. Plus no need for EF adapters!
So, my loss is your gain.
Lens is perfect, not a mark on it, plus the glass was covered with a filter the day it left the store, so it's also perfect.
The lens, with the servo (which I bought) sells new for $5,700, plus tax.
Save $700 and buy it from me for $5,000 even.
It's only two months old, plus you can pay Band Pro (where I bought it from), with your credit card, directly (because I still haven't even paid my balance-yes, they trust me there).
Local examination welcome, I am in Los Angeles.
Thanks
