7Q+ missing clip!

Hey!

Shot some stuff last night... now that I transfered the footage... clip 13 is missing! 10-11-12-14-15 are there... Clip 13 is not! I know I viewed it on the 7Q last night after we shot it... anyone seen something like that happen? Any solutions? I've Safe ejected etc... it's still not there...
 
Unfortunately yes, I've had that happen. I got burned a couple years ago in a similar but not the same situation...so as a result I always record internally to the camera as well. However, about a month ago I was reviewing footage and noticed a couple clips seemed to be missing, I checked and rechecked, safe ejected (though I was under the impression we didn't have to do that any more) I then checked the 7q clips against the internal record and yes, I found the clips on the SD card.

I powered the 7q back up, the two clips were still missing, I rebuilt the data base still no clips. The 7q was never turned off in the field so for whatever reason those shots were never recorded, but luckily I had them on the SD card.

So as much as I love the 7q, it always makes me a bit nervous especially when I'm out in the field in a run and gun situation that when I hit record, it's actually recording. I've also gotten bit by the odd corrupted clip from time to time...so that back up recording is key in my book.
