I know Mitch has mentioned that the flickering will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade, but is the flickering an issues on all units? Or is it only isolated cases?
The flicker on my 7Q goes from very mild in low light to pretty severe in bright sun. Today I was doing some bracketing tests on a sunny day and it was hard for me to look at the monitor without feeling a bit dizzy because the flickering was so prominent. I notice if I put my hand over the monitor to block the sun, it lessens it, but yeah.... it's pretty bad.
Are all of you 7Q owner's experiencing this, or only a few of us?
I'm kind of the opposite in that I LOVE the 2K RAW and the incredible image, but I cannot recommend the 7Q as a monitor because of flickering.
Mitch, is this even fixable with a firmware upgrade? Seems like a hardware issue, especially if only certain 7Qs have it. If it can be fixed via firmware, PLEASE do it ASAP, as in the very next firmware upgrade which cannot come fast enough to fix this problem.
Edit: I do want to add that I am very happy that I got the 7Q early on. Overall, it's been great and a huge step up from AVCHD.
