7Q Firmware most compatible with F35 (50P Prores?)

I wanted to shoot some 50P 422 ProRes with my F35 and 7Q. Does anyone know the last firmware that supported this with F35?

Are there any advantages to the newer firmwares with the F35? Seems like we lost the 50P Prores in the newer versions so there is a version that is the "optimal" version to keep on 7Q paired with the F35.

Also I have always had the issue with F35 and any 7Q Firmware that I need to unplug and replug in the SDI A in order to fix the screen tearing. Not really an issue, just a quirk of the 7Q and F35 setup.

I'm on 2016.01.1336 and believe it's the version you want. I can shoot 50p 422 and 12bit 4444 prores with it. Haven't seen a need to upgrade with the chatter about 50p breaking in newer builds.

Only potential caveat: I'm not sure if this build has the clipped output levels issue that was mentioned a while back, and haven't tested prores vs dpx to confirm. Honestly am not sure where the dust settled on that issue.

Screen tearing: if you toggle the clip playback button twice after booting it clears it up. Shouldn't have to unplug the cable.

Hahaha! Had this same exact question! Got mine back from service awhile back and they 'upgraded' it for me... Didn't work so well obviously when I tried to play with the 4444 and 50p! Was just going to dig through the large thread for an answer. Thanks to Yachacha for asking and MikalZ for answering!

Hi! I have the same odyssey (7q+)+F35 setup, and tried with both 2016.01.1336 and the older 2015.12, but I can´t get it to work properly with prores 50p, works fine in DPX mode, but it just split to dual screen view and record a single input a or b when I choose prores HD/2K 422.

If the cam is set to 422 50p, a single input should be all you need to record the signal. Just hit the "a" button at the bottom of the Odyssey to disable the PIP view.
