7Q+ F35 422 50p

Hey guys I'm aware that the 7q+ is capable of recording 50p in ProRes 422 mode so Im wondering if any of you guys using this combo could share some ProRes 50p footage or have any of you shot 50p successfully with the F35 and 7q+ ? Also I'm curious to know if the 10bit uncompressed DPX files has any noticible quality difference from the ProRes 422 with this setup? Thanks in advance guys.

I'll try to post some soon. 50p works beautifully to the 7q (and assuming 7q+ too) - i've shot tons of it. DPX files look great as well, though prores is quite nice too. DPX seems to have finer noise patterns and slightly better IQ. I'm assuming the 12bit DPX and prores 4444 thats coming soon will look even better!

Awesome!!! thanks for responding skatajkid...would love to see that footage. Don't forget about me. Also just noticed that the 7q+ has two 3G-SDI in/outs...Im assuming the F35 shouldn't have any issues connecting out from the SDI ports to the 7Q+ 3G-SDI ports right?

Just make sure you're going from A on the F35 to SDI 1 on the 7q and B to SDI 2. If you cross them you will get very weird and unsalvageable frame interlacing. I color coded my cables to help keep my mind straight. It's also a bit annoying, you can't swap back to 24p very quick right now, you have to disconnect one of the cables from the 7q in order for it to read correctly. maybe they will fix this in the next version.
