7D overhead/strange noise

My 7D recently overheated during an hour long shoot where the cam was rolling alot without cutting...

now... in video mode, the cam is making a strange crackling noise and i'm pretty sure i've ****ed up the cam.

thoughts on how to fix??

i did a long shoot (some auditions) where i was turning hte camera on and off ALOT, i kept the live view on for the better part of 5 hours, and actually recorded 22GB of footage, never had the prob.

Id say warranty time

Probably the noise coming from your IS lens, test it and turn it on and off and see if you can hear with it on.

ahh good idea, try other lenses, on manual focus mode
