Looks like the Gh1 is a clear winner here. The highlights and skin tone on the 7d really don't do it for me. Mods should sticky this so everyone can finally settle down about Gh1 vs 7d.

AHAh. Well I was thinking, no way! I really don't see any reason why people are ordering the GH1 when they could just save up a bit extra for the 7d, but it's all personal choice. I just love the image (Supposing it is similar to the 5d, which, from what I have seen, it is).

No reason to poo-poo the GH1, just like there's no reason to poo-poo the 7D. Personal choice needs to be emphasized. I have just as much a reason to own a GH1 as I have to own a 7D, which is why I bought a GH1 a week after I pre-ordered the 7D.

Fair nuff. I think I would rather have two 7d's though (except that means you might be stuck with no cam for longer). I haven't been over in this forum since I got my 5dII. Is mud still a problem? Or were there any firmware updates? Sorry for the off topic but I think the OP deserves it :grin:.

in all seriousness. i did run across this and although it may not be a direct comparison but it at least shows the strengths and weakness between the two camera's.
