Alright... first of all, do you speak english fluently? By your post, I'm starting to think maybe your from a non english speaking country. If that's the case, than sorry for the confusion.

You can't really just ask, "is it worth it to buy a sony dvcam 450w,or should i buy hd" and expect a serious answer. There's a lot more that goes into it... what are you planning shooting? what's you experience level with camcorders? budget? do you NEED HD?

Give us a more thourough question, and you'll get more answers.

ok,im going to be shooting weddings my friends i work with have the sony 450s and say that little hd camcorders have a very compressed image and that dvcam that is little compressed is much better than a hd that is very compressed.i want to know is it worth paying about $18,000 for a sony 450 when i can get an hd camcorder that less expensive.will be a huge diffrence between the hvx image in hd and the sony 450.i hope you understand what i mean

Dude, for weddings, a HVX would almost be overkill, let alone a sony 450. Go with an HD if you're planning on doing weddings. They're smaller (and more manuverable), and the image will blow the client away.

but are those little hd camcorders true hd,if yes y do pros pay about $100,000 for hd camcorder, let me just ask this for image quality on the canon a1 if i downconvert the hd video to sd will it look good as the sony 450s quality.my budys all have 450s and say they want the quality to be equal.
