720pn 24p and 1080i 24p

I shot one scene in 24pn and i would like to shoot the outdoor scene 1080. if they are at the same frame rate and i down convert to 720 the quality will still look better than if i shot the scene in 720 correct?

Maybe, I'm not sure. Probably be a little cleaner overall. Maybe a bit sharper, since there is about a 20% increase in resolution between 1080 and 720. So, it's possible that the downconvert might retain a bit more sharpness. But, I would imagine the difference would be fairly negligible.

Now that I think about it, I think I remember seeing some pics from a while back where somebody did a comparison. You should search around, and see if you can find that.
