720p/30 Works In FCP; 720p/60 Doesn't!

I've been working through some initial problems getting footage from my new HMC150 into FCP 6.0.5. I was shooting footage at 720p/60.

I was getting a lot of stuttering/freezing in the canvas, although on my Matrox MXO display and my Sony CRT monitor, playback was fine. The other issue I was having was every time I would change any setting, pull down a menu, etc., my entire screen would turn blue for 2-3 seconds; then everything would return and be fine. Older HDV and DV projects were not affected.

After checking here, the MXO forums, and the Apple FCP forum all with no luck, I finally tried some 720p/30 footage instead. All of the above problems are now gone.

The 720p/30 stuff looks great, except that fast motion stutters more. I would like to use the 720p/60 setting if possible; how can I get FCP to play it back smoothly?

One other question; I had read of an issue with a 4GB file limit on the AVCCAM footage, so that a new clip would be created approx. every 20 minutes or so, and a utility would have to be used to stitch them together seamlessly. I shot continuously for nearly an hour, and my footage showed up as 1 continuous clip with no bad frames anywhere, as far as I could tell. So has this problem been solved with 6.0.5, and/or newer camera firmware?
