720 vs 1080

Edius has a free trial if you're thinking about converting. I find it's closer to Premiere than any other NLE. I'm going to have to try out speededit now, though.

JM, of the people that visit my site for P2 support, more are on Mac than PC. Personally I find the PC platform easier and cheaper, but plenty of people are happy with FCP... maybe you need to meet some of them?

Will do, professor : ) thanks !

PS: but Premiere and AE are also Apple, right ? so maybe THE solution for me...an indie greeny.

CS3 is multiple platform, so it runs natively on Mac and also on Windows. As of right now the Windows bundle is a little more robust because you get OnLocation and Ultra as part of CS3, and those products haven't been ported to the Mac yet.

Cool, so i still have the PPCS3 option, before getting rid of my brain new G5, which Mac platform has by the way helped me become a still photographer, so you may understand my story and why i'd love to hear positive feedback about FCP.
