720 60p on a 30p timeline full speed, any problems?

If I wanted to shoot in 720p60 and put it on a 30p timeline but NOT slow it down 50% for slow motion, would there be any issues it playing back at 100%?

The reason for this is I'd like to shoot everything in 720p60 and use only portions of it in slow mo. This way I wouldn't have to worry about what's going to be in slow mo and whats not yet still have a clean slow mo by using a 30p timeline just in case.

Is this possible? Any issues with this in terms of playback or look?

Thanks

If you're using FCP then this is the default behavior. If you have a 30p timeline and you drag in 60p footage, FCP automatically cuts out every other frame, so it should do what you want automatically. However, anything you want to be in slow-mo will have to be Conformed in Cinema Tools. You'll have to batch convert your .mov files and reset the fps to 30fps. Then, those files will play back at half speed in your timeline.
