Ive been editing recently with Raylight and have decided to purchase it, however ive noticed something. When i convert 720pn footage, just the mxf file in the Video folder of the P2 card, it gives an AVI file with audio, however with normal 720 25p, i get no audio, and have to include the audio files in the conversion.
Why is this, and how does this effect the quality?
Secondly, I was looking at the 25p and 25pn footage toggether, and i swear that 25pn is not as good quality or something. It looks more soft and the colours seem less vibrant, perhaps i fiddled with other settings so mabe its not a fair test.
Is there a quality difference, is it worth using 25p instead of pn or is the differens not enough to warrent spending extra time dumping?
I hope other people could share there views and what they use to record. Im using PAL with raylight and sony vegas, and im impressed witht he speedy workflow. tried using premier pro 2.0 but damn its so slow.
