Hey,

I just saw the Documentary "WoodStock:The Director's Cut" and i loved the way it looked. Its one of the coolest Films i have scene. The music is great and the film work is great as well.

What would some good scene file settings be to get the look that film has.

I would have to see it, but the 70's had a real washout look to most of the films. Do you have a link?

Woodtsock was shot on 16mm and did not have a washed out look. It was actually kind of over-saturated. It looks like it was probably shot with high ASA stock (160? 200?) at least for the evening shots. (very grainy) The daylight stuff might be lower ASA as the grain is not too bad. You don't even want to know what kind of trouble the sound people had...

I am about to document a mini-Woodstock in New York State for Memorial Day Weekend with the HVX 200. I will definitely be going 24 Pn and probably use the Cine D setting for some nice rich blacks. Not sure how that translates to the DVX world.

Dude... Have you got another one??? You know... something I could take and... you know .... smoke later...

Man I miss those days... or... maybe not.

With all due respect, how is it possible that you haven't seen Woodstock, perhaps the most important musical documentary of all time?

I've seen it, what I meant to say was I would have to see what part that Four Eyed Monster was talking about.

Have you seen these? In my opinion these were the most important docs.

1. 24 hour party people
