64GB SDHC cards

Sorry if I have missed a previous thread, but I see my Sandisk distributor is listing a 64GB SDHC Ultra II card.

I thought 32GB was the limit for SDHC (hence SDXC etc). Is there word on how these cards work in EX1's?

2 loaded 64GB cards would give near 8 hours of continuous recording in HQ

Cheers

Sounds interesting...I'm sure someone will have a use for it like security cameras or something.

But I wouldn't trust 4 hours of my footage to one memory card. Even to an SxS card. It's just too much time at risk.

OTOH, the 8 gig cards, 20 minutes are kind of short if you don't have someone feeding you clean cards all the time.

It would be interesting to see if most people view the 16 gig cards as the sweet spot, though I know a lot of people buy 32 gig SDHC cards for adapters.

It is on the latest price list from my certified Australian distributor for Sandisk

Part number is SDSDRH-064G-P36, which is a little interesting as all other Ultra SD cards are parts ending in -Q36 (eg SDSDRH-032G-Q36). They have definetly listed it in the Ultra II Secure Digital 15MB/s group of cards..... Could just be a mistake on their part, I should get around to calling them to find out next week.
