GH4 64G PNY Elite Performance SDXC not working on GH4

I bought this card from BH Photo, it works flawlessly on my T2i and PC, the write speed is up to 67MB/sec, but it is not even recognized by my GH4, since I am an IT professional, I tried all kinds of methods (format it very slowly, making sure I use exFAT, fully charge the battery), it does not work. But GH4 can recognize the High Performance PNY card.
Anyone else have this issue?

The PNY was working for the first 1h, and yes, it was formatted in the camera, then it stopped working, and won't even format in the camera because camera won't acknowledge its existence!

I use a SDXC as well, but from Sandisk.
Honestly I have never seen that PNY card before, I always use Sandisk because they are one of the most known brands and so far no trouble. (Except when updating firmware, but that was file problem not the card.)
If yours works with Sandisk, its the card problem, if not its GH4 fault.
I have a feeling its the card though, since its 3x cheaper than Sandisks.

Many of these cards have 5 year or longer warranties, so if it's a recent purchase from B&H then let them handle it, otherwise contact PNY for a replacement card.

PNY is a brand not known for "stellar" video performance in HDSLR cameras.

See if you can get a refund, add enough to that refund to purchase SanDisk.

Some things I'd check, but you probably already have:
Does a computer still recognize it? Do the contacts look ok?

Not even acknowledging it is in the camera sounds like a potential hardware problem, either with the camera, or more likely, with the card.

This card works flawlessly on my PC, on my Linux server and my Mac, it also works very well in my Canon T2i, fast and error-free, it just does not work in my GH4, I suspect there are some bugs in the design of either this card or the camera.

Lifepro4:

It is common for "non premium" cards to not meet claimed standards. Within a brand like PNY or any of the other "bargain" brands, within the same "model", one card will work and another identical one will not.

The GH4 is a far more advanced camera than your T2i, places heavier demands on card performance and after spending what you did on the GH4 why mess with "not the best" media. I still haven't purchased any of the new class (UH3) media but what I'm using in my GH4 are the SanDisk Extreme Pro 95Mbps cards I purchased for my GH3s, so far they work.

If you plan on continuing to try to use that card and others from that same brand, you may luck out until it lets you down big time and you lose a project.

Just get media that has a proven track record, SanDisk has about the best reliability record going. Be sure you buy from someplace like B&H so you don't risk getting counterfeit media, yes it costs a bit more but mine just keep on "tickin".

After updating the firmware to v2.0, I have tested the same card, now it works without any problem, but I will watch out in the future. Thank you all for your precious advice.

As we said in the old days: Never shoot with Ferrania or Orwo if you can have Kodak..... :-)

The difference between a proven card and an exotic thingie may be just a few bucks ...... plus the possibility you you lose a days worth of shots. Abstain from evil.

Thank you all for advice, I'm using GH4 as a toy, not breadwinner, so I can tolerate if sth goes wrong, but I will buy Premium brand in the future.
