i usually go and work on 29.97 fps since my cam shoots 60i
but i went on cineforms page and found this "Telecine removal (24p from 60i)"
Is this a good idea, or should i stick to 29.97fps?

It's not the same thing. That particular feature is meant for cameras that shoot 24p in a 60i stream. The program would strip out the extraneous interlaced frames to give back native 24 fps footage. Not meant to be used to covert native 60i to 24p.

oh, okay, so i guess i should use this ProspectHD for converting my AVCHD 1080i/60i footage to 1080p/29.97? (29.976?? confused)
