OK, so i shot some 60i footage in SQUEEZE mode, 1/120th shutter. Too bad i found out that it looks horrible afterwards, just shot a 24pa film in SQUEEZE mode and it looked great! but the 60i isn't that great. I need the footage and I'm just going to have to live with it, I am going to be outputting to DVD and possibly Web, but mainly DVD.

Can anyone suggest the best capture/sequence settings for 60i in SQUEEZE mode? trying to get the best looking footage i can out of what i've got. Any help or experience with 60i footage in SQUEEZE mode is much appreciated!

Thanks guys.:dankk2:

DVCPRO NTSC Animorphic. It is easier, if you already captured the footage, to click the anamorphic box in the top left browser screen (keep scrolling to the right).

Squeeze should not look good or bad. It was probably your 60i@ 1/120 shutter that you are not a fan of. 60i can be converted to 24p but it will still look stroby because of the higher than normal shutter speed.

It's pretty well-known that squeeze mode in 60i is a very bad idea. Unfortunately, you're kind of stuck with what you have. You could try deinterlacing, though that messes with the resolution. Not a whole lot to be done.
