6 min student short shot on D90.

Many things are said here already. I just would suggest to add some lightning flare to the gunshot. Easy to do in Photoshop.

This is more of a stylistic issue, but I think there is too much music in the picture. I mean, if you were trying to make a music video, then it's fine, but I was completely taken out of the film by your musical choices.

squig did you get your d90 yet? what do you think of it? i'm about ready to sell both of mine and get a cheaper DSLR just for photos, im ending up not even using the video function, never had a dslr before and love it for photos but can use the money

I don't know. I really liked it. The look and everything. If you can tell a story this interesting with no words then you're truly a filmmaker in my book.

Yep I got it. I'll post a detailed review and some footage soon (when i'm not hungover). So far it's pretty impressive. But there are also some major issues. In the right lighting conditions the shots look really good straight out of the camera. But in the wrong light it's pretty shocking without ISO and shutter control.

The jellovision and rolling shutter handheld with a 105mm lens was really bad but ok with a 28mm. A handheld tripod did a nice job as an improvised steadicam.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned in any previous posts is that you can manually adjust the white balance while shooting in dmovie mode.

I had some trouble setting exposure in bright sunlight but an ND filter should rectify that.

Overall I think it's an amazing piece of kit for the money but life would be a lot easier with a firmware update.
