5DMK3 - Optical Low Pass Filter, anyone removed theirs?

You many recall the vimeo vid posted last April and everyone thought it was an April Fool's joke.

The procedure was done indeed. Just curious if anyone else took the leap. Looks like atleast 1/2 stop of light gained as well.
 
It turned out to be a waste of time and energy, as far as I know only two guys ever did it, and one who did actually paid money to have the filter re-installed in his camera. There is no benefit to be had from removing it.
