5D3 video dynamic range?

I looked and didn't see a post on this yet, but sorry if is a re-post.

What do you guys think the dynamic range on the 5D3 is in Video?

I'm sure for stills it's probably a bit higher due to RAW, but video is what is most important to me.

Thanks for any info.

I haven't done any scientific tests but according to my observation it's not very different from 5D2, ie. around 11.5 stops with Cinestyle.

At lower ISOs it's about the same but the dynamic range doesn't drop as much at higher ISOs.

indeed, but that was not using CineStyle (it wasn't out when they tested), but a custom made picture style ---> CineStyle is 10 stops

I think Samuel is right about 10 stops with CineyStyle, and because of the aggressive noise reduction it may be about 10 usable (depending on how close to final you shoot it out).

Going to see about using Flaat and what happens to overall fidelity.

the key for many is "useable", but I find that's very subjective
that's why Flaat gets all the camera can give, then it's your job to test it and decide how far you want to go (some people say only Flaat_10 is useable, some are happy using Flaat_12; personally I'm more confortable with Flaat_11, but I've also used Flaat_12 for a couple of problematic shots)
