If you don't already have one B&H carries Marshall monitors that are at a great mid range price and perform very well. As bonus when you register the monitor- they send you a free sun shade. I bought one when I got my 5D a month ago. No promoting just saying.

Great peice by the way.

Good Job. I have been looking to shoot something similar after seeing a short just like that on vimeo? The two models I had lined up backed out on me. Great job.

Very nice. Love the look!!!

Here is something I shot with the 85mm 1.2L USM II. In case anyone would like to compaire the images. All the real low light and people shots were with the 85mm. 5dMKII

Mike that was stunning. One quick question. I have the nikon 50 1.4 which yields me a great look on my 5d. In your opinion, outside of the ability to use the auto forces function on the 50 1.2, would you say the image quality is far apart?

thanks reem12. not at all, what sets the 1.2 apart is the quality of bokeh from 1.2 to 2, much smoother and rounder, the handling, the focusing ring is a dream for focus pulling. at optimum apertures the 1.4 is a tad sharper i think, but you will only notice it shooting raw images at full resolution zooming in 200%

Thanks mike, think I will keep using my nikon 50 1.4 then. Still love the build of that 50 1.2 but not enough image spike to warrant the extra dough. thanks again and keep up the good work.

Nice...

I think the deal with all these 1.2 lenses is not to shoot wide open though. Stop down to f/2 and that is where the magic happens.

My favorite fast lens is the older metal focus ring version (serial # 250, XXX) Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2.

This is the older radio active version and is the lens to get (if you can find one for a good price) in my book...

I like the old lenses, stopped mixing nikon/canon mainly because the focusing can get confusing, one turns clockwise the other counter clockwise towards infinity.
