I'm ordering a Canon 5D finally tomorrow and just found an old FD 50mm f1.8 Canon manual lens in my closet today.. http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/50.htm

1. Will I be good with this lens as far as super image quality??
2. Also will it snap right on the 5D with no adapter or converter??

If it wont just right snap on please tell me where and what to order to get it to work if the lens is worth using with it. I will be shooting Indy music videos by the way(mostly close shots with allot of shallow depth of field.

ps will it look this good?? better or worse???

thx in advance...

It won't work with any normal adaptor unfortunately. I think there is some strange way to do it but you loose some resolution and it doesn't look nice. You are going to have to go with a more modern lens.

1. No
2. No

Google "FD to EF adapter". They exist, but aren't a good idea for a number of reasons. EF mount 50mm primes are cheap and widely available, just get a new one.
