5D Test Footage - Piano

[chris f]

I rented the 5D to test it out at my sister's wedding, so the night before I played around with the cam figuring out how to use it while my other sister played the piano and here's the footage: http://www.vimeo.com/5284744

No color correction, conformed to 24p in Cinema Tools.

I have no idea how anybody shoots handheld with DSLRs. Even with a monopod my shots are shakier than I'd like.

Yeah man. I've got a monopod that I use with RED and swiftly learned that it won't be happening with a vdslr that doesn't have an IS lens on it. You may be able to rectify the problem with a literal weight. I was gonna try the zacto conterweight but I think that may be too much.

So far it's IS lenses, a steadicam like rig (glidecam 4K) or dreads sticks.

Decent footage though. Hope you had fun with the cam!
