5D+Steadicam = Awsomeness :)

Looks great. I've been contemplating this myself, so I hope you don't mind a few questions!

For the Pilot, did you add any weight to the camera? Are you shooting with a zoom lens? How small an f-stop do you need to keep things in focus? Any luck using the Pilot with a longer lens (or zoomed in)?

Thanks!
Peter

You need to add some weight to the pilot because the 5D is so light. I find the pilot operates best when you have a minimum of 6 pounds on it. What I did I put the 5D on the RedRock plate and also added all the weights that comes with the pilot itself. This makes it alot more manageable.
Regarding focus I shot most of it at F5.6 but before doing every shot I would zoom in 10X and make sure my subject is in focus.
The longest lens I have used on the pilot is 105mm lens. It looks great but kind of hard to operate specially if you are outdoors and there is even a bit of wind.

Hope this helps

cheers
