hey im using adobe premiere cs5 with a canon 5d 1080 30fps but i was wondering how i could shoot really crisp hd slow motion shots with my camera i also have adobe after effects if that helps im just sort of new to the hdslr style

I only tried a couple of times without great success. I think something like Twixtor helps, but I generally rent/borrow a camera that shoots 60 fps (t2i, t3i, 60D, 7D) when I want to do slo mo,

what is twixtor by the way haha ? sorry im new to all this ive been shooting dv for way too long and i just now decided to step up to the hd game

What are you shooting slow motion shots of? Sure it's possible with perfect planning, light and framing. It's not the same as shooting 60fps but you can still get good results using something like Twixtor as long as you prepare your shot properly.

well its action sports using mostly daylight with just a tri pod nothing special really

That may be tough. You may get some decent results but they will most likely be short clips. Best way to do would be to get a trial of twixtor and try it out.
