5D Question

Alright, so i am a college student and have to film my final narrative for the semester in a few weeks. I own a D90 and am tempted to shoot it on that (my school has crappy quality cameras). Then i started thinking, i can rent a 5D for the weekend and shoot on that for a somewhat reasonable price (we are talking a college budget here).

My question is: Is there great enough of a difference in video quality between the D90 and the 5D to justify dropping $150 to rent it for the weekend?

Note: It is a silent narrative so audio is not an issue with a DSLR

Id love to hear your input/advice.

I owned a D90 for awhile and rarely used it for video. Then I got a 5D and was blown away at the difference.

That said, I don't think you should blow money you don't need to. Keep the D90 on a tripod and you've got a great camera.

Excellent advice, you already own a D90 no point in spending money when you do not have too ( Especially a non paying project )

If anything maybe rent a very nice lens for your D90 ( less than $70 for the weekend ) and you will be more than happy
