5D MrkIII vs BMCC

It does look good. That's down to a good shooter as well. One thing to note though, is that there was a lot of tripod shots. Stability goes a long way to making something look good.

Exactly, I think it was many things.
First and foremost
-Great Shooting
-Amazing Location
-Nice Edit

I think this piece could have been done on almost any camera and on those extreme wides you do see some lack of detail in objects. Overall though low light looked nice and I didn't see any noise, plus skin tones looked very natural. Looks like Canon may finally be getting their act together..

It is easy to get caught up camera talk sometimes.

I do try to remember that a full episode of House was shot on the 5DII and it look amazing. But they also had amazing lighting, blocking, story, etc.

I have seen some really really nice projects shot on a 5d MarkII so I definitely agree, but it's really about production value. I mean having an excellent set, great dp's who really know lens and lighting goes a very long way. Ultimately though I moved away from Canon's because no matter what I tried personally I could not avoid aliasing and lack of detail. On the GH2 I am able to shoot these wides I simply couldn't with Canon dslr.

Sorry for the off topic, just stating my opinions and experience
