5D MKIII ML + Field Monitor

Is there any issues with a 5D MKIII w/ ML installed and using a field monitor like a Ninja Blade or even a Marshall 7"?

I tried to run an HDMI cable from my 5D3 (shooting ML raw) to a Ninja Blade recently, but the signal kept cutting out. I am not sure why. I swapped out the cable and the same thing happened. It wasn't the most recent build though, so maybe that has been addressed.

On the other hand, my 5D3 works really well with my SmallHD AC7. No dropouts.

I like it enough. The sunshade is a must for outdoor shooting. I've rigged mine up with a lithium ion battery from China via a few strips of Dual Lock. Personally, I think that it's a little too big to be used on top of the 5D (or any DSLR) and the fact that it's only 720P doesn't make it wonderful for focusing.

Anything with a true 1080P display will be significantly better. The BlackMagic video assist is sharp enough for critical focus, but the colors are way off. I believe that the SmallHD 501 is 1080P and it is pretty low-profile. Those new daylight-viewable monitor/recorders that Atomos just announced look pretty nice, but I'm not sure if they've announced a price point yet.
